It all started in a lumberyard…an ordinary guy working an ordinary job envisioned something big. His vision was simple: teach a few others what he knew about Jesus and the Bible, and encourage them to do the same. He called it “spiritual reproduction” and made it his life’s work.
This is how The Navigators began in 1933, and this concept of spiritual generations remains at the heart of all we do. In 2 Timothy 2:2, Paul says it like this:
And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. (NIV)
We believe God uses ordinary people, one-by-one, to change the world. It’s simple, just teach a few others what you know. You don’t have to know it all, and you don’t have to reach everyone. If the few you teach are teaching a few who are teaching a few…well, you can see the waves of impact just one person can have!
